The
Central Statistics Agency of Kubu Raya Regency has carried out the National
Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas)
in 2019. From these surveys obtained poverty and unemployment figures published
in the form of the Official Statistics News (BRS). On Thursday, December 19,
2019 a meeting was held to deliver poverty and unemployment figures to
representatives of the Kubu Raya Regency government agencies. The meeting was
chaired by Ir. Anton Manurung, MM. as the head of the Central Statistics Agency
(BPS) of Kubu Raya Regency.
The
poverty rate of Kubu Raya Regency in 2019 was 4.74 percent. This condition
decreases when compared with the poverty rate in 2018 which is 5.07 percent.
This poverty rate has met the Kubu Raya Regency Medium Term Development Plan
(RPJMD) target of 4.91 percent. However, the depth and severity index of
poverty in the Kubu Raya district increased in 2019 compared to 2018.
Furthermore, the unemployment rate in the Kubu Raya Regency rose to 5.62
percent in 2019 whereas previously in 2018 the unemployment rate in the Kubu
Raya Regency was at 5.04 percent.
Very
good achievements have been achieved by the Kubu Raya District government by
reducing poverty. However, there are still some tasks that need to be completed
in order to achieve the welfare of the people of Kubu Raya Regency, such as
maintaining poverty and reducing unemployment. After delivering poverty and
employment conditions, the Population Census (SP) 2020 socialization was
carried out. BPS of Kubu Raya Regency requested assistance from all government
agencies present to help in the success of SP2020 by filling in an online
population census on February 15 - March 31, 2020.
