Women's Delegation and team from BPS-Statistics Kubu Raya Regency Visits Statistically Smart Village

The Statistically Smart Village Program is part of the efforts to realize the National Statistical System by improving the quality of statistics down to the village level, ensuring that the data produced is more accurate, standardized, and useful to support development.
On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the team, together with the Head of BPS Kubu Raya Regency, Mr. Suwandi, SE, MM, carried out coordination and socialization activities related to the Statistically Smart Village Program at the Rasau Jaya Subdistrict Office and the Rasau Jaya Tiga Village Office, which has been selected as the focus location for the Desa Cantik program in Kubu Raya Regency for 2025. In his remarks, Mr. Wandi, as he is familiarly known, emphasized that data is a fundamental need for village governments in formulating policies and planning at the village level. "The Statistically Smart Village program is expected to optimize the statistical business processes at the village, subdistrict, and even regency levels," he stated.
The implementation of Desa Cantik aims to: Improve literacy, awareness, and active participation of village/urban ward officials and communities in statistical activities; Standardize statistical data management to maintain the quality and comparability of statistical indicators; Optimize the use and utilization of statistical data to ensure that development programs in villages/urban wards are well-targeted; and Establish statistical agents at the village/urban ward level.
