Food sector problems have always been in the spotlight. Therefore, food crop production data is demanded to be accurate and timely. Consists of data on the area of raw materials for rice fields, area calculation methods, data accuracy, and objectivity in calculating land area. Accurate and fast data are essential for making policy decisions in the national food sector.
To achieve this, the Central Bureau of Statistics uses the Area Sampling Framework (KSA) method. KSA is a sampling approach technique using land area as the enumeration unit. This system is based on Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, remote sensing, information technology, and statistics. The ASF approach is expected to be able to answer the provision of accurate and timely information to support the planning of the National Food Security Program.
The KSA
(Area Sampling Framework) method is carried out by the Central Bureau of
Statistics on the last 7 days of each month. This method has been implemented
since 2018. Until now, the Central Bureau of Statistics of Kubu Raya Regency
routinely dispatches officers to the field for the implementation of KSA. KSA
activities can be realized from the collaboration between the Central
Statistics Agency and the Agency for the Assessment and Application of
Technology.
